Yorkers clean up at club prizegiving!
Eden Roskill prizegiving was held today with many of our club's cricketers absent. This included
four Yorkers with Munsarim in Pakistan, Vivek up north, Shreyas unavailable and Fawad who missed his ride. But this didn't
dampen the team's spirits and when the awards began to flow there were in the end only three boys who didn't have their names
individually called, but the whole team was called forward to receive the ACA pennant along with an individual medallion for
each.
Munsarim was the first name called as Best Team Player and then Frazer Ellis as Most Improved.
Once the other teams had all received their relative team awards nine from our team were named and presented certificates
as Western Districts Representatives, they were: Brett, Munsarim, Hamish, Anas, Rugved, Frazer, Shyam, Shreyas & Fawad.
Then it was the turn of the Auckland Representatives, Brett and Munsarim.
Next were the batting awards for centuries and of the three gained this season in the whole
club, two were from the Yorkers, Shyam and Munsarim.
Of course awards are not complete without recognition of the bowlers and Hamish received the
ball mounted that he took his hattrick withand Brett a certifictae for his five wicket bag.
The McNaughton Cup for Cricketer of the Year was awarded to Brett and then our magnificent
scorer Raewyn was presented the Chairmans Cup. All in all a very pleasing end to a brilliant season.
Well done Yorkers!
